Love Has No Color, in partnership with the Fort Peck Tribes, paid a visit to the reservation last week.

The group, also known as ‘The Chiropractors,’ arrived from the eastern United States and stayed on the reservation Friday, August 11, 2023, and left the next day.

Approximately 30 different people came this year and held their annual Kids Day events at the Thundering Buffalo Wellness Center.

While serving the children, elders were given free boxes containing groceries and books. The previous day they did the same thing but in Wolf Point.

Even though they were scheduled to leave on Saturday (August 12) some of them stuck around to help with cleaning up the land and roads leading out to former Tribal Board member Ray White Tail Feather. His house is in the country, with the river forest just on his land. They were going to clean and clear as much as they could so emergency access is available.

According to the Love Has No Color website, the organization states it dedicated to helping children on the reservation recover from learned hopelessness.

In previous visits, the group held small carnivals, opened a theater, and painted downtown Poplar.
